🍽️ Disney California Adventure Foodie Guide: What to Order and Where ✨
A trip to Disneyland doesn’t have to mean eating nothing but junk food. If you, like me, are someone who loves comfort, practicality and enjoyment, this foodie guide is for you. At Disney California Adventure you’ll find some of the most delicious food options in the Disney parks in California.
Just like at the other park, here you’ll also find the usual basics like popcorn carts, hot dogs, corn dogs, churros, burritos, etc.; that’s why in this guide I want to focus on what’s truly unique to this park. Here I’m sharing some of my recommendations from places I’ve eaten at over the last 3 years (and heads up, there are plenty of healthy options!).
If you want to optimize your day and eat spectacularly, save this pin and jot down the must-tries from our selection. 📌✨
🍸 Lamplight Lounge (Table service, for a relaxed meal)
My favorite in all of Disneyland! It has a beautiful view of the Pixar Pier lagoon, and this spot is the perfect place to recharge and cool off. 🌊🦞
- ✨ Best of the menu: The famous Lobster Nachos (corn tortilla chips with tender lobster, melted cheese, chipotle and pico de gallo) and the crispy Potato Skins. The drinks, with and without alcohol, are great too! 🍹
- 💡 Travel tip: At this restaurant you need to book two months in advance through your Disney app if you want to secure a table at the best times. 📲

⚡ Snacks and Quick Stops (For a fast bite)
These options are ideal for eating quickly and getting back to enjoying the park. You also have the option of ordering through Mobile Order on the app to avoid lines. 📱💨
In the San Fransokyo Square area you’ll find lots of food court–style options that are truly delicious. Here my favorite is Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill. 🌮🏮
- ✨ Best of the menu: The VERY FAMOUS QuesaBirria Tacos (crispy birria tacos with melted cheese, served with their consommé for dipping, limes and salsa). They’re incredibly delicious. 🤤🔥

🔬 Pym Test Kitchen (Avengers Campus)
Inspired by Ant-Man’s lab, here they play with the size of the food using “Pym Particles.” The dishes are so much fun and delicious. 🍔🧪
- ✨ Best of the menu: The Not So Little Chicken Sandwich (a sandwich with a giant fried chicken fillet that hangs over a miniature bun) and the family-sized Quantum Pretzel, perfect for sharing and dipping in its beer cheddar cheese sauce. 🥨🧀
- 🍳 Heads up: there are also breakfast options that include dishes like chilaquiles, eggs and French toast. 🥞

🍨 The Sweet Touch (The Star Desserts)
- 🍪 Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums (Pixar Pier): Forget ordinary cookies; this is a thick, warm cookie with semisweet chocolate chips melted in the center. They also sell cold milk to go with it, which makes the perfect combo. 🥛
- 🍫 Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop: For premium chocolate lovers. The Hot Fudge Sundae is a must-stop if you’re a fan of the brand. 🍦
- 🍋 Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats (Pixar Pier): The famous ice creams from the adorable Snow Monster in Monsters Inc. The must-try is the It’s Lemon!, a soft-serve yellow lemon ice cream that’s super refreshing. If you want something more pro, order the Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait, which combines the lemon ice cream with a blue raspberry slush. It’s also very pretty to look at! 🍧📸
🗺️ Plan Your Foodie Route
The food at Disney California Adventure is part of the travel experience, but I also recommend organizing your stops; in my previous PIN I talked about the zones strategy, and the same applies to the food stops you want to make. 📍
Make sure you download the Disney app before your trip so you don’t miss the chance to eat at the best restaurants in this park. 📲✨
Which of these are you craving most for your next trip? Don’t forget to save this post to your Disney board on Pinterest so you have it handy! 📌💖
